Leaving our camp at Phortse-Tenga (sometimes spelled Thanga - meaning riverside).  The previous day we had lunch at Mong which is at the pass in the middle top of the picture. We then decended about 1000 ft to the river and spent the night next to the buildings in the lower right.  The next morning we hiked back up the other side of the valley through a rhododendron forest. 10/5/2007
